I have had the regular NESTLE COFFEE CRISP candy bar many times before. I was always disappointed that to me the bar never tasted like coffee at all. Recently NESTLE came out with the COFFEE CRISP MACCHIATO CARAMEL candy bar. That bar had an amazing coffee flavour and gave me hopes for the future and upcoming new varieties of the bar. When I saw the new NESTLE COFFEE CRISP STIX SALTED CARAMEL and noticed the picture of coffee beans on its wrapper I grabbed a couple , all excited , to try and review it. There is two smallish — medium sized bars in each wrapper. The chocolate coating looks dark, but its milk chocolate. It has a strong coffee scent that I liked a lot. Looking at the bars cross section , there is a lot of wafer and some thin layers of chocolate in there. I couldn’t really see a salted caramel layer, but the very bottom looked slightly caramel coloured so maybe that was the salted caramel layer. I didn’t really see any coffee layers or pieces in it , so I assumed then thin cocoa coloured layers may be it. As soon as I tasted the bar , I was confused at first then disappointed. The bar was very crunchy and crispy and chocolatey and very sweet. It barely had any coffee flavour to it . There was only a minimal coffee aftertaste and no salted caramel flavour !!!. The bar was little bit salty , but I didn’t get any salted caramel flavour from it at all.
